ENCE has been announced as one of the teams joining the four partnered squads at BLAST Pro Series Madrid. They will be joining the likes of Astralis, Natus Vincere, Cloud9, Ninjas in Pyjamas.
The sixth and final team will be between Movistar Riders and Giants who are playing in the Iberian Play-in final.
ENCE has had a big run of success since the IEM Katowice Major where they showed they could compete on the biggest of stages and hasn’t slowed down yet.
The $250,000 event will take place from May 10 to 11 in Madrid, Spain. This event will be the first of BLAST’s to utilize Vertigo in the place of Cache in the competitive map pool.
Vertigo was officially announced as a competitive map replacement for Cache on March 28. It did not come into open and awaiting arms, however, as much of the community pleaded for it to be an early April fools joke.
This wasn’t the case however and Valve has already released an update targeting many issues that they have found or which were brought forth by the community. While there are still many who think there’s a long road ahead, Valve is showing that they are open to making the map a better fit and hopefully quickly with these announcements.
