Sydney Sixers have re-signed England international Tom Curran on a three-year contract extension.
The deal is lengthy in comparison to most international contracts made in the Australian league, but his commitment each summer will depend on his English duties.
The Sydney side made no hesitation in signing the quick through until at least end of BBL11, after the 23-year-old played a significant role in the Sixer’s path to this season’s finals.

Currans has played every match for the magenta outfit in the regular rounds of BBL08, taking 20 wickets and hitting 185 runs across the summer.
However, the fan favourite won’t be available to play in the Sixers’ semi-final clash against the Melbourne Renegades on Thursday, having been jetted out of the country to join England’s one-day squad against the West Indies. Really happy to commit to another 3 years with the Sixers. I feel like it’s a great place for me to continue to improve as a cricketer and hopefully I can help win trophies with a group of great men. See you all next year and good luck for the finals in a few days 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 https://t.co/Dn1Dq1StPK – Tom Curran (@_TC59) February 12, 2019 Fellow England international Joe Denly praised his teammate’s recommitment to the Sydney Sixers.
"No one works harder on their game than Tom," he told the club’s website .
"I think he’s only going to get better, which is great for the Sydney Sixers and great for England".
The Sixers will take on the Renegades at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on Thursday evening, 7:40pm AEDT.
